Tips before taking the lessons

The purpose of learning how to ballroom dance is to have fun during a dancing party. It's hard to define what kind of dance I need to know and prepare. You don't want to go to a party like the Milongas party without any knowledge of Argentinian Tango. If you are going to our club Monthly Ballroom Dance Party, you will dance a lot of Swing, Rumba, Cha-cha, Nightclub-two-step, Waltz, Foxtrot, and few dances like the Samba, Merengue, Salsa, or Mambo, Tango. If you are going to The Doo Wop party, you will dance many Discos, Twist, Swing, and a lot of free dance-by-yourself.

Music plays a significant role in the dancing party. A clear rhythm beat with a suitable tempo is a gift for the dancer... For example, in Foxtrot music, the tempo can be fast or slow. The rapid beat of Foxtrot music also can be the dance of Quickstep. Same thing the Waltz music rhythm can be fast, medium, and quiet. Slow tempo suitable for dancing Internation style, and fast tempo used to dance called "Viennese Waltz." I am impressed that not many local bands can play fast tempo for ballroom dancing—this why some of the ballroom dancers like to go DJ party instead.

Each dance has its characters. For example, Samba is a lively dance, which involved knee bounce action, and the Cha-Cha dance involved much of the hip movement. Rumba to be the most passionate and romantic dance. It also involved many different hip movements. Jive is a spicy swing dance set to big band music in which the man leads, and the women encourage more men to ask them to dance. Paso Doble is a challenging dance. The man dances as if he was a bull, and the woman as if she was a bullfighter.

There are many dance studios in town. If you are interested in taking ballroom dance classes, think about these options. Whichever one catches your eye or tickles your fancy, why not give it a shot?

Remind you that at our ballroom dance club, we off-and-on regularly open classes for beginners and advanced. Stay tuned! Learn how to ballroom dance should always be fun!
